why don't people appreciate google wave for what it is?

So wave isn't being actively developed any more.
I was disappointed, but some of my friends and colleagues weren't. They never did like it.


It was a nice little tool for having a community chat about something. I used it for film reviews, tv reviews, interesting applications we'd found on the net, reviewing (and scoring) the issues of monkeymag :)


I'm hoping that the google social network will have something similar (better) when it launches soon.
